39th Victorian Fair in Melrose Sunday, September 8th 11am – 4pm

Head to downtown Melrose this Sunday between 11 am and 4 pm for the Victorian Festival!  This annual event, organized by the Melrose Chamber of Commerce together with Presenting Sponsor Melrose Wakefield Hospital and in collaboration with the City of Melrose, MA, aims to bring residents and visitors together in a day of celebration.  Since 1981 the fair has been attracting thousands of people to the city’s downtown area for games, crafts, food and entertainment.   Local businesses set up booths along Main Street, which is closed to traffic to make it easy for people to stroll around and enjoy the day.  Many local restaurants offer samples to the crowds, and there are performances throughout the day on the Center Stage.  Dance groups, martial arts demonstrations, music and more provide entertainment for the whole family.

One of the big attractions at the fair is the Chamber’s Big Ticket Raffle, with 13 amazing prizes on offer.  Tickets cost just $10, and you could win an oriental rug, jewelry, an Apple iWatch, Celtics tickets or lunch with Mayor Infurna!  Get your tickets from Miter Biter Frame Company or Eastern Bank.

Learn more about the event, how to get around, and who will be there.

The 2019 Victorian Fair is dedicated to John Doherty, Division Foreman of the Melrose Department of Public Works Parks and Forestry Divisions and Melrose resident, who passed away in September 2018.
