Charlestown is the oldest neighborhood in Boston, located north of downtown Boston on a peninsula between Charles River and Mystic River. With a population of @17k, it is a popular location with commuters due to the excellent transport links – two stops on the Orange Line (Sullivan Square and Community College), bus routes and a ferry to Long Wharf. Charlestown is served by Boston Public Schools and also has several schools and colleges, including Bunker Hill Community College (featured in Good Will Hunting). Charlestown has many places of historical interest including the USS Constitution docked at the Navy Yard and Bunker Hill Monument at the end of Boston’s Freedom Trail.
