Following on the heels of a very successful Midnight Madness shopping and dining event in Winchester center this past Monday night, is the always popular Winchester Holiday Tree Lighting. This year’s tree lighting will begin at 7:30pm on the Winchester Town Common and include the regularly scheduled visit from Santa, who will arrive by Fire Truck. Santa will be available to greet children and hear their wish lists. To top it all off, there will be Carolers entertaining everyone throughout the festivities.
Every year the Holiday Lighting in the town center is achieved by the Winchester Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the “Lights of Love” organization. Please check out this recent article on the Winchester Patch to learn more about what it takes to continue this cherished town tradition.

June 20th, 2012 the annual RE BarCamp Boston was held at the Back Bay Events Center on Berkeley Street. RE BarCamp was started out in San Francisco and unlike many other conferences this event is not structured like typical planned conference. Anyone who attends has the option to deliver a session on any topic they would like relating to the world of real estate. The sessions are open forum, participation by attendees is encouraged and typically the session turns into an open dialogue of idea sharing among the participants. During the time slot there can be multiple sessions going on which gives the attendee the option to pick and choose what interests them. This was the second years members of our office attended this great event. At last year’s event we learned fantastic tips on photography, improving our website and the importance of an iPad in today’s real estate world. After leaving, we were energized and full of new ideas to take our business to the next level. When we received the email to register for the 2012 event, we did not think twice. This year along with Jay Noble, who attended last year, we also brought with us our two newest agents, Jacqueline Shediac Brunell and Freddy Meyer and Kylee Reardon our new Marketing Specialist. Everyone felt this year was another wealth of information and walked away with ideas, questions, and lots of energy to spark our business.
The agents of Waterfield Sotheby’s International Realty have been hard at work supporting our town in May and June. With so many great fundraisers and events going on this month in Winchester, volunteers were needed and our agents pride themselves on giving back to our great community. Marion Crandall, Stephanie McGowan and Anne Spry volunteered their time at the En Ka Fair, May 18-19th. Despite Town Day’s rain date, WSIR still had a great turn out from our office on June 2nd. Marion Crandall, Naomi DeLairre, Jay Noble, Paula Battinelli, Freddy Meyer, Jacqueline Shediac Brunell, Anne Spry and Debbie Carson were on hand to pass out fortune cookies and balloons to all who came by our table. We also shared the sidewalk outside of our office with our Business Partner, the Winchester Foundation for Educational Excellence, who entertained the younger crowd with robots, drum sets and other fun grant items fulfilled by WFEE over the years. Most recently, on June 7th, Catherine Albiani, Marion Crandall, Ann Basmaji, Anne Spry and Nancy Fleming donated their time to the Winchester Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Garden Tour. Each agent monitored the gardens at 4 homes included on the tour. An event we look forward to every year. Please check out our website to learn about other ways the agents of Waterfield Sotheby’s International Realty get involved in our community.
